Performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Seussical: the Musical (Gertrude McFuzz) American High School Theatre Festival

Mackenzie grew up as a very outgoing and outspoken twin. She was bitten by the theatre bug when she was 10.

She began skiing at 18 months old, as soon as she could fit into a pair of ski boots. As she grew up, she played many other sports , usually with her sister. That gave her a drive to be the best she could be, as well as the work ethic to match. When she did her first play- Last Stop Till Christmas (lol) when she was in sixth grade, she never turned back. All of the attention and energy that had been previously spent on sports and skiing shifted to theatre. Most of her time spent outside of school (and a lot of time in school) was spent at rehearsal, performing, and learning about theatre. She participated in an abundance of high school and community theatre prior to moving to New York for school. Some of her favorite memories through the years include flying as Mary Poppins, performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival as Gertrude McFuzz, singing from one of her favorite shows, Bonnie and Clyde, in her graduation showcase at AMDA, and meet and greeting with kids as Little Red Riding Hood at Story Land in NH.

Some Scene Work!

One of Mackenzie’s graduation showcases from AMDA. The scene is from Significant Other by Joshua Harmon. Mackenzie is playing Laura’s character, alongside Cora Price.

Little Red Riding Hood

In 2019, Mackenzie spent 6 months in the White Mountains of New Hampshire playing Little Red Riding Hood at Story Land. Her days consisted of living on park property (mail was even addressed to Story Land, lol), performing 3 scripted shows 5 times a day, part of which included belting out Little Red’s version of Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive.” In addition to the shows, she had anywhere between 9 and 12 meet and greets throughout the day, and an additional hour long meet and greet at a nearby resort where she made balloon animals and rowed the row boats with kids. Her days were filled to the brim and she loved evert second! I mean LOOK at that costume!!:)

Tuesday Tunes

Mackenzie has been posting covers with other performers throughout the pandemic as a way to stay creative and keep her voice in shape
